My wife and I stopped by The Red Eyed Mule in Marietta for a late breakfast around 11:50 am. We grabbed our food to go and it only took about ten minutes from ordering to walking out with our bags, which was pretty solid for a busy diner style spot.
I ordered Jake’s Spicy Side Chick Biscuit with hashbrowns and it was the highlight of my morning. The biscuit itself was huge and packed with flavor. I would order it again without even thinking about it. The heat, the chicken, and the biscuit all worked together really well.
My wife went with two eggs, chicken sausage, grits, and a biscuit. She loved everything on the plate except the grits. The flavor was different in a way we could not pinpoint, so she would swap that side out next time. Her biscuit, though, was just as good as mine. The biscuits are easily the star of the show here.
Overall, we would come back, especially for the biscuit sandwiches. This is a great Marietta breakfast option if you want something hearty, fast, and made with care.
The Red Eyed Mule is located at 430 S Marietta Parkway SE, Marietta, GA 30060. Close to downtown Marietta, and has its own parking lot, which makes it easy to get in and out even during busy breakfast hours.
