The Smyrna location of Wing Factory has officially closed after 12 years, marking the end of a long run for a restaurant that became a familiar spot for many people in the community.
Located at 2997 Cumberland Blvd SE, Atlanta, GA 30339, this Wing Factory served as a go to place for wings, sports, and casual nights out just outside Smyrna and near the Cumberland area. For me personally, it was a place full of memories. During COVID, it was somewhere to sit, watch some truly terrible sports games, and still enjoy getting out of the house. I also spent many nights there sitting at the bar with a laptop, studying while working toward my master’s degree.
In their announcement, Wing Factory mentioned that they hope to return in the future. That detail stands out and leaves a lot open to interpretation. It does not sound like a permanent goodbye, but it is unclear what coming back actually means.
Could this be a new location nearby? A reworked concept? A pause before reopening elsewhere in Cobb County? Or something entirely different?
