A new burger chain is coming to Smyrna. Smalls Sliders is planning a location near Windy Hill Road and Cobb Parkway, in the shopping plaza that includes Tomato Japanese Grocery.
The concept specializes in cheeseburger sliders and was founded by Brandon Landry, who describes the brand as bringing “small burgers to the big stage.” According to their website, this would be only the second Smalls Sliders location in Georgia.

But the announcement has sparked mixed reactions among Smyrna residents.
On Reddit, one user wrote:
“This is not what we meant when we said we wanted more restaurants in Smyrna.”
Another added:
“Seriously, why is it so hard to bring more restaurants in Smyrna. I feel like there is a market. Just 10 mins up north, Marietta Square has so many good restaurants and they keep adding.”
There was also concern about the location itself. One commenter said:
“That intersection is horrible during rush hour.”
And another:
“Turning left into the shopping plaza can be a headache.”
Not everyone is disappointed, though. One transplant from Baton Rouge shared:
“We have these back home where I’m from in Baton Rouge and it is so good. I’m so excited.”
Others compared it to White Castle style sliders, while some simply labeled it another addition to what one commenter jokingly called “BurgerTown™.”
So what do you think?
Is there room for another burger spot in Smyrna?
Would you rather see more independent restaurants?
Does the Windy Hill and Cobb Parkway location concern you?
