For me, it was Phar-Mor over on Barrett Parkway. That place had everything. Groceries, random gadgets, even a movie rental section. I remember heading there with my parents in the late '80s and early '90s — picking out candy or a $1 VHS rental was the highlight of the week.
It wasn’t fancy, but it was our spot. Right where the Bed Bath & Beyond used to be, if I’m remembering right.
It’s wild how places like that stick with you. The smell of the store, the way the aisles were laid out, the buzz of finding a deal — it’s all still up here (somehow 😄). Anyone else remember shopping there?
Curious what other local spots folks miss from around Kennesaw.
