Several residents in Cobb County’s Vinings area have been displaced following a large fire at the Pines Court Apartments early Wednesday morning, according to reports from FOX 5 Atlanta.
Cobb County Fire crews responded to the blaze around 5:00 AM at the Vinings View Condo Complex on Overlook Mountain near I-285. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the flames, but several units suffered heavy damage.
Luckily, no injuries were reported, but multiple families have been left without homes. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
Residents described waking up to heavy smoke and firefighters knocking on doors to help get people out safely. Some reported losing all of their belongings due to the intense heat and smoke.
The American Red Cross is reportedly assisting the displaced residents.
